I bought these stairs for my 20 lb cat who has arthritis and has pain jumping down from the bed. I originally looked at stairs made specifically for cats, but they didn’t seem sturdy enough to support him. These stairs are sturdy, well made, and have held up great. My dog is older with really bad joints. She is able to get up and down these stairs pretty easily. The only thing I don’t love about them is that the middle step where it folds up is a little flat so it can make them A little uneasy.
