Love this! Debated about the purchase for a while, but finally went for it, and my cats are in love. Its sturdy and assembly instructions are straight forward. Plenty of room for both of my large cats (about 12-14 lbs each). I added some finer screening around it to keep bugs out (just stapled it to the frame) and created a wood frame that fits inside my window so it can be secured without attaching it to the exterior of my house. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. We are extremely pleased with the cat villa. It was not difficult to assemble; pre-drilled holes were accurately placed, all parts were present and the instructions were clear and thorough. The villa is made out of solid wood and the glass doors hang perfectly. There are multiple levels which are easy for the cats to navigate. I have two cats that use it. One cat is 17 lbs and the other is 10 lbs. They each have a fluffy pad on two of the levels to sleep on. I have placed a full size litter box with high sides on the lowest level. A bowl each of water and dry food are on the platforms. My cats are still getting used to the new routine of spending time in the villa but neither are stressed by being in it and usually are asleep in a short time. Our cat house is sent out in two boxes. There are detailed instructions in the package, and each part has a number. Check whether any parts are missing according to the number and instructions. Follow the steps in the instructions and you'll soon be able to create a spacious home for your cat.

I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! I got some exterior white paint just in case I feel it needs a bit more protection from the elements. Well I hope this review helps. We are pleased. Tami. Sun May 17 2026
