It's a beautiful fan! We bought two, one for our bedroom and one for a back room that does not get much air circulation. The glass dome is very pretty and filters the light nicely. Make sure you get smaller bulbs with lower watts, standard light bulbs do not fit within the dome and higher wattage bulbs (over 60w) produced rather harsh light. This is a beautiful ceiling fan for my living room! I decided to change out the fan from a white one to black. It is very attractive and has great fan speeds. The LED light is integrated and gives off a warm glow. If you are looking for something brighter, you might want a different light that gives off more than 3000k, but for us I'm sure it will work. The fans themselves are beautiful and work very well in our home. Installation was a pain, even for my dad who has installed many light fixtures and fans. Particularly, there is a decorative piece near the mount that you have to secure in order to hide the screws. It was nearly impossible to secure that piece. We eventually got it, but it took forever. It's a VERY pretty fan. The blades are a very light gray wash look - high end. I got the Nickel finish motor. On/off via light switch and then the remote controls everything. Most fans I run at speed 1 for sleeping and that creates some air movement. But this fan doesn't push a lot of air, so i have to use speed 2 or 3 to get the same effect. This is in a guest room, which is rarely used, so that's fine for my needs. But if you need a fan that REALLY creates a breeze in a room, this is NOT the one. (Minus a star for that).. Tamara954.
