This base is not recommended for use with heavy table tops.

They are well made with substantial weight. They are perfect for holding the weight of a natural wood slab around 4 inches thick and 5 feet long. Each one was wrapped separately to protect against scratching while shipping. I appreciate the legs being one piece for each side.
