I absolutely adore the look of copper, so when I was shopping for a chiminea and stumbled on this one, I had to have it. This was one of my first purchases from Wayfair, and I was expecting something to be wrong with something so big and heavy. I was pleasantly surprised that, after the easy assembly, there was only a very small, unnoticeable scrape on the lid. I made sure to read up on "seasoning" the chiminea before using it more extensively. Again, I was surprised that the chiminea fired up as expected with no issues. I think the only small issue I had was some of the paper kindling I used liked to float up through the top opening - I may add some mesh to prevent possible floating embers from escaping. A fire in the garden can create a cosy atmosphere and really catches the eye. This heavy round fire bowl with stable base creates ambiance and warmth all around. Using the included grill, this fire pot can easily be used for grilling. While using this item, it will develop a wonderful patina as a result of rust caused by fire, weather and time.

Wow! I feel sorry for the other guys that are drawn to the inferior pits that are offered here. There are a few that match quality materials and style. Very few exceed it though. It is smaller than many other pits however, there are larger cast iron pits but costing much more! Our pit will fit our cozy corner in my garden nicely. The grate is solid and unlike many other pits, it requires a rocket scientist to assemble. So don’t be fooled by the fancy unnecessary add ons , and don’t get attached by the fine finishes offered. You will be replacing both soon enough with your next pit! Fire pits are supposed to look like this iron pit which will age gracefully and rust won’t claim it any time soon. Buy a cover for 15 bucks and you’re gold. Don’t let an added cover sway you to an inferior piece. Or don’t be led to a pit with a added poker. Use a stick!! If you are looking for a pit that is easy to put together, will look great a long time, is versatile as a cooker and will last a long time with minimal fuss and capital, DUH !!! Buy this pit!!!.
