The duvet feels somewhat heavy on its own but that is just me because I use duvets without the inserts because I am a very hot sleeper even in the winter time. The duvet without the insert looks just fine for me and I'm hoping it's not too heavy but since I live in the north I think it'll be just right. I also feel that since my bed is a queen I would have liked this duvet to be a little bit larger for more of an overhang, I should have ordered a king size just for the extra overhang.. This is a great duvet cover! It fit my new 98x98 insert perfectly, and it’s so nice having a queen duvet cover that doesn’t feel undersized because it was meant to also work on a full bed. This cover washed well and dried well on the lowest heat setting, but it did need to be pulled out and rearranged over a couple cycles. Remove it asap to avoid wrinkles. It’s very soft and looks high quality. There are internal ties on all 4 corners, plus one on the center of each side.
