While I definitely recommend having two people for assembly, it is possible for one person to put together it will just take considerably longer. There were a few small rough edges during assembly, but once everything was put together, they were barely noticeable thanks to the soft, natural oak color. I love this tv stand and I will strongly recommend it. It was quite easy to assemble. Ideally, I will advise 2 people but I was able to assemble it by myself in less than 2 hours. It arrived in excellent condition. It is a beautiful piece.
