I selected this particular table because the wood grain was real and not simulated. I was not disappointed! Assembly involved screwing 4 bolts per leg into threaded insert on the underside of the table top. They even provided a hex drive for a cordless screwdriver to expedite assembly. One curious element was how the legs were strapped into the back of the table with staples — which detracted from my perceived vale of the table. This is a very nice-looking table. I like the dark color of the wood, I like the shelf underneath, and I like the rounded edges. The wood top is very smooth, too. Unfortunately, there is a little scratch right on the top that is noticeable. This didnt take more than about twenty minutes to put together. If there is something I would change, there are screws right on the legs where the lower shelf attaches. Those screws dont have any covers, and they are in spots on the legs that are clearly visible, so I just stare at flaws. And, this is just an aside I really dont understand why companies put labeling stickers in places where they could be problematic if they dont come off easily. The coffee table was well packaged and arrived safely. It's quite a nice table for the price point and assembly was fairly straightforward, and took about an hour. My only small gripe with the table itself is that the legs are just a plain and cheap looking brown that don't match the table. I feel like they could have added a few dollars to the price and included matching legs. one other thing to note, which I show in the photos, is that the instructions indicate to put the white "plastic buckles" in to secure the panel on one side so they are on the outside of the table. What? Honestly, the panel was a snug fit in the slots anyway, so I didn't need/use them. but if you do need them, put them INSIDE the table, behind the drawer. Nobody wants to look at those!.
