I like it! I did 90% of the assembly alone. You need help putting on legs. Putting on snow load supports is a little tricky alone, they are tight. I only attached 8 bunges cords before I put on legs so I could work in the shade. I had to stand on a step stool for sides and used a 6' ladder for peaks. I live on the coast so I used 12 tie downs. The standard 8 (one I had to just go straight down, no room) and 2 each in the interior front and back. I used screw in type supports and 550 paracord and cinch knotted on the inside supports. I used 1/8" wire and turnbuckles on outside supports. I put 1 1/2" PVC over exteror supports to protect people and pets from running into/hurting themselves. I also think it will be easier for yard trimmer. I would love to say it took me 3 hours but in reality it took me most of the day. So impressed with how massive this thing is. Built it to house yard sale stuff as I declutter my house. We didn’t add the doors yet so there is a breeze in Texas heat but covered from the rain. The hardest part was centering the tarp between the two sides (front and back) and took my neighbor coming over to help after seeing me struggle. Easy to put up. Made in China so you should be handy and able and comfortable to manually correct possible misalignments. I had to drill a new hole for joists on both ends for a proper fit but it was easy enough since I fix and install everything in the house. The panels can also be a bit delicate installing. You don't want to hit them with a rubber mallot off from the edges or ding them too hard since they're closed cell polycarnonate panels. They're sturdy enough but if you damage one badly water and ice could get into one of the panels cells/channels. What I will say is after 2 days and 2-3 people helping here and there the patio cover looks amazing. Everyone comments on it. The price is great. I had quotes for wooden deck covers ranging from 10,000 - 15,000 and no way for light to come through which would have made my livingroom a dark room during the day. It arrived in a box that wasn't too heavy. It was neatly folded and included the tie-down hooks. The material is a type of plastic fabric—it looks like sturdy cloth on the outside and plastic on the inside. It appears to be more durable than other types of tarps; even so, the weather in my city is very changeable, so time will tell if it truly holds up better than other tarp materials. The four legs each have two small hooks at the bottom for securing them, which really impressed me. Overall, I do recommend it. I really love the size of it. Putting the frame together was way quicker than I expected. However, the roof portion was very difficult. The wood beams were slightly warped so the wholes on the roof panels were not lining up. Two of us were able to assemble in a weekend (frame in 2 hours but the roof took forever) It seems sturdy, it is real wood, but it does seem the wood would wear down or rot fast. The overall structure is great, exactly like the picture once it's all put together. I gave a 7 out of 10 rating because the instructions were absolutely horrible to work with. Beautiful carports. The holes were wrong so we had to drill new ones to make it work but now that they are up we love the way they look. You’ll need to be handy and know how to do all that if you buy these. People stop and compliment them all the time. Check your city codes though.
