This bed frame is absolutely gorgeous! It is heavy duty, high quality, and will last for years to come. It does require a boxspring. We ordered a 5” one because we have a 12” mattress. The headboard is a soft beige material with a good amount of padding to rest your back and be comfortable. The wood is a taupe wood with light texture and has rope accents to add an organic element.
