Purchased 2 boxes (20 pcs) 12x12 copper slate tiles. 2 tiles fell apart on first handling. 5 tiles were warped so badly that the backs rocked 1/2" - 3/4" against a flat surface. 4 had dramatic differences in thickness making them tricky to blend. I used a diamond scarfing disc on my variable speed orbital grinder to adequately flatten the backs of the warped tiles so it'll work out for my backsplash addition. The listing is for a 57% off sale price of $32.28 for a box of 12 tiles ($2.69 per square foot). I received only one single tile. Wayfair customer service ordered me a replacement, at which point CNK had the opportunity to honor their listing, but again, CNK sent only one single tile. At that point, Wayfair worked with me to cancel the order and arranged a refund. I was told the listings for these tiles are now under internal review. We haven't installed them yet, but they look like they will be easy to work with - stones are attached well to the backing and the mesh itself is flexible to conform to a plumbing chute we need to work around. The pattern is varied from tile to tile, which should be easy to lay out and have it look good, although the color is more vibrant than I expected, so be prepared for green if you order these - they're green-green, not grey-green.. Looks great! Quality is very sturdy. Great product for the price, compared to major retailers. The stone came mostly together, we unfortunately did have one of the pieces break before we even opened the box. This stone gives the illusion that the full tile is made of stone, when it is just the front face that is designed to look like stone. Even though it mimics the stone, it adds a great touch to our kitchen.
