Assembly wasn't to difficult, but did take about 4 hours to put it together by myself. Hardest part was getting the bed slats that go under the mattress to line up with both sides of the frame to go into the holes, but once you figure it out it's smooth sailing. Overall, very solid and sturdy. Stairs are a nice touch over a ladder and the little shelf cubbies make a good place for small stuff. The space underneath is a perfect fit for a 78" couch. It’s very very heavy. Be forewarned. The assembly isn’t too challenging but takes time. I did it entirely by myself. The disappointment come from the shallow draws. Even though it measures nearly 16”, they don’t open more than half way, so you need to removed them completely if you want to gain access to the rear of the drawer. Mine has a chip blemish on the top of it, which is a bummer but is otherwise fine. It looks good and is two separate pieces which can be handy if you don’t have a really large wall.. Jason. This is a nice loft bed set and while slightly more expensive than other sets it is worth the money. This set has the best layout in my opinion for under the bed and that alone is worth the extra cost. It took me about 3.5 hours to fully assemble by myself moving at a relaxed pace. The parts and instructions are labeled fairly well with one extra of each screw. I have not anchored it to the wall yet but it is very sturdy even being on carpet.
