I am so happy with my purchase of this bedspread!!! The bedspread is absolutely beautiful in person!!! It was my third purchase to try and find the right look for my room. I have an extra thick mattress and this one fits wonderfully being a Queen extra wide with plenty of overhang on both sides of the bed. Most full/queens spreads do not completely cover my queen bed with the proper overhang but this one does. Great Purchase!!! I am in love with this one!!!. Nanette. US. Tue Aug 25 2026

Hugh is a classic matelassé constructed of mercerized cotton for a sleek appearance and hand feel. The all-over stippling design provides subtle interest, and the coverlet is finished with scalloped edge rounded front corners. Matelasse (mat-la-SAY) is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. Matelass may be achieved by hand, on a jacquard loom, or a quilting machine. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. It is a heavy, thick textile that appears to be padded, but actually has no padding within the fabric. Our Hugh Matelasse has a soft, pebble-like texture.

Beautiful. Lovely weight. Feels great. Looks great.. Edisa. NY. Wed Aug 05 2026

A large Jacobean floral design graces our Chelsea matelasse fabric, for an addition of traditional elegance to any bedroom.

A beautiful piece. Know that the length works IF you don't tuck in the spread under pillows. Width is not sufficient to cover both sides equally to the floor. This could be a function of our king mattress being tall, however. The width is not a problem, however, since only one side of the bed faces the entrance to the bedroom. Color: We got the gold/burgundy. Gold is the operative word, and in certain light, the color is more like a paper bag. In retrospect, we should have chosen the off-white or the brown. To get more variation in the color and to see a little of the burgundy, I flipped the spread on upside down. Now, I can see more variation in the color and a LITTLE of the burgundy. It's just so hard to know for sure what will work when one buys sight unseen.. Lynne. Woodbridge, VA. Tue Mar 01 2022

A bouncy quilting in a cotton poly blend, our Pickstitch design looks fabulous the moment you put it on the bed. The epitome of easy care.

I really like this coverlet by Ann Gish. The stitch pattern is unique and the bone color complements the other pieces of my bedding well. I would buy this again. Close-up photos show the pattern on the blanket and sham. The color is a little lighter—the lighting in my apartment isn’t the best.. Thom. Jefferson, GA. Mon Jun 29 2026

Experience the perfect blend of comfort and quality with our Fleur De Lis Cotton Matelasse Bedspread and Pillow Sham Set. This Bedspread is absolutely gorgeous. I love the oversized feature. I love that it is light, if more cover is needed will use a blanket or quilt. It looks great on my antique bed. The only thing—it had a “plastic smell” when I removed it from the packaging. I let it air out for over 24 hours and now it is fine. Not a deal breaker—I am very happy with this item.. Jlele. Inspired by the more relaxed European lifestyle, Kent brings home the casual elegance the continent is known for. Oversize linen gauze double cloth, that is designed with a European causal sensibility so that it completely covers the bed, nearly skirting the floor (depending on mattress height) and extra-long shams (one sided open like a pillowcase) is a textbook European style- Classy yet Casual. Taking note of the new colors of the year, we have taken a softer more subtle approach with this introduction in 11 colors. The eyelash edge bedspread reverses to natural linen on the back side, so that Kent offers the newness of Asphalt grounded with the always appropriate Natural Linen on the reverse. Available in: Asphalt French Blue Indigo Lavender Kale Ochre Peacock Pomegranate Saddle Tangerine White All reverse to Natural. The shams are designed as a pillowcase style with an exaggerated drape. All colors reverse to natural linen and are finished with a hand frayed eyelash edge.
