The bunk bed is crafted from solid wood sourced from plantation-grown timber, which emphasizes sustainability and responsible forestry practices. The wood undergoes a wire brush finishing technique that enriches and brings out the inherent grain patterns. As a result, each component of the bunk bed boasts a distinct and unique grain pattern, making every piece visually special and one-of-a-kind. Notably, this solid wood bunk bed features side rails that exceed industry standards, measuring over 1 inch in thickness and 5 inches in width. These class-leading dimensions ensure exceptional sturdiness and durability, contributing to the overall robust construction of the bed. The wire brush finishing method not only enhances the natural grain but also adds a textured surface, providing a rustic and charming appearance. This particular aesthetic appeal aligns with a trend towards showcasing the natural beauty of wood, making the bunk bed an attractive and durable choice for a bedroom setting.

This bed is solid and heavy. It is all wood and very well made. Not too tall, just right. It does have 3 stair drawers which are a little tall for some little ones. It took me just by myself about 6 hours to build, not bad for the amount of pieces. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. They give the exact amount of hardware that you will need, so don't loose a single screw or you will need to head to the hardware store. Overall I am super happy with the bunk bed but my kids are even happier.. Anonymous. Tue Aug 13 2024

My grandson loves the bed. We, however, have a few misgivings; 1. It took an age to ship. On looking at the tracking records, a bed which originated in Vietnam was shipped from Georgia to California, to Vancouver, then finally to Ontario. It could have been shipped in one truck directly up the I75. There were four boxes approx 100lb in weight each. Surely, there has to be a more environmentally friendly method than this. 2. On putting the bed together, there were two screws missing. I don't think it was a "user error" as my husband is a stickler for following the instructions. Speaking of instructions, the order of the build could have been better. It makes far more sense to build the cupboards behind the lower bed BEFORE you make the bed frame, especially if your building space is limited. 3. The build quality is suspect in some places, yet fine in others. There was also a piece of wood which split immediately because of a knot in the wood. Some pieces were a bit marked or bashed on corners. Mind you, after the journey it took, that's not surprising! Despite these issues, the bed is still a success as we could effect a repair on the broken piece and the two missing screws don't look to have too much of a detrimental effect. We could have tried to contact the seller for replacements but but being mid-build in a child's bedroom, this wasn't really a viable option. As I say, the grandson is thrilled with the bunk beds, and it works for the space and purpose it was intended, but I think it was an awful lot of money for the overall quality.. Deb. Chatham, ON.
