I ordered a cantilever umbrella that had a metal X base which couldn't support the weight of the umbrella so I ordered this to hold it in place. It took about $15-20 worth of sand from the local hardware store to fill it up. For me the base is SO bulky though. Perhaps this isn't something that can be avoided due to the nature of the item and the weight it needs to compensate for but it takes up a lot of space so just make sure you plan for that. I put pots of flowers on it to try to blend it into the space. I don't know if it did anything though lol.. Abee. CT. Fri Jul 17 2026

Just what we needed for our new 12’ x 12’ cantilever umbrella to be able to move it around. Very big and sturdy base that supports the umbrella well. The only issue my husband was worried about was the fact smaller rocks could easily fall out through the large hole screen it comes with in the bottom of the squares. He bought some chicken wire to put over the larger wire in it and now rocks can’t fall through. Easy assembly!. Brenda. TX. Mon Jun 15 2026

The poles are very sturdy, the fabric is stylish and thick, and the umbrellas measure 10 feet wide- providing ample shade from our strong Texas sun. Additionally, they glide up and down easily, are a breeze to open and can be positioned at different angles for the perfect amount of shade, any time of day. Did I mention they are rated for up to 30mph winds? But the best part is that they rotate 360 degrees by stepping on the foot pedal! No matter what time of day it is, you've got sun protection.
