The directions were could have had better pictures as we found ourselves guessing on a few occasions and had to stop and redo steps on one occasion. The Murphy bed took two people a few hours to assemble and I love it! The online pictures do not do justice as it looks so much nicer in person. I love the shelf and LED lights and how easy it is to set up and tear down. Im on oxygen 24 hours a day and have very little strength and yet Im able to pull the bed down myself. Great bed, but be patient while assembling. Take your time. Youll definitely need more than 1 person. Another reviewer said to make sure you assemble in the room you want the bed... he was right. The packages arrived beat up. Thankfully there was no damage. Regarding the bed itself, the horizontal opening seems safereasier to open for a shorter person. The only challenge is stopping midway down to unfold the feet. I also wish there were more than 5 slats under the mattress. We added a few more, ourselves. Just to make sure it had more support. Otherwise no complaints.. Barbara. New York, NY. Sun Sep 13 2026

It comes all in one box mattress and bed frame so it's heavy. Everything was tied in really good with zip ties which took forever to take out of the box because you have to cut each individual zip tie. Of course the mattress was an easy setup it comes compressed so just open and let it expand for a few of hours. However, the bed frame is a nightmare! The most difficult to assembly. It literally took me 3 hours and the instruction manual was horrible. The pictures are not clear enough to understand so you have to kind of guess where things go. it just took forever! In any case, once everything was assembled it was exactly what I hoped for, and it was actually comfortable if you prefer a firm mattress. Definitely a space saver, it easily stored away in my closet. Other than the tedious, and difficult setup, I'm actually happy with the bed overall. however, I never want to have to set up a bed frame like this again.. Elizabeth. Amarillo, TX. Sun Aug 16 2026
