Made for a small portion of sleepers who find most bed pillows too full. This down pillow is great for stomach sleepers or those with neck issues who have tried to buy 'soft pillows' in a store and they are still too firm. It is also great for adding a layer of cushion to an existing pillow. This plush, soft pillow is made with microfiber fill, a high quality polyester designed to mimic the properties of down. Microfiber traps less air than down and is a tad denser, so it does provide a bit more support than natural down. One benefit of a synthetic pillow is that it can be machine washed at home, given your machine is quite large and you wash/dry on a low heat setting. The pillow remains plump when shifted about throughout the night! Comfortable, soft with a firmness which comes from the quantity of bird down. Something I didn't notice during the shopping process was the info on the tag (no way to see this until you own it): minimum 75% down. In other words, for a down pillow to exclude the word "feathers" from the description (for us folks looking for 100% bird down), it can be minimum 75% down -- the remaining percentage is feathers! That shocked me but something I now know. Unless the product description says 100% down (no feathers), expect there to be some percentage of feather parts (calamus, rachis, vane and/or barbs).
