Mode tables are designed for cafés, breakrooms, meeting and conference rooms, collaborative spaces, and other applications. It has a 1.25" thick high-pressure laminate top that's durable and easy to clean. The top has a long-lasting edge that won't crack or peel. The solid cast iron legs have leveling glides to prevent the table from wobbling on uneven floors. The center column base is 3" in diameter and is made of 16 gauge steel. Easy to assemble. Tops are hand-made and stained in the USA.

Overall, this is a very nice table. I could not give it five stars because of the difficulty in putting the 12 screws for the hinges in. Although the instructions do not indicate a drill is needed to start the holes and then a drill is also needed to screw in the screws. Because the wood is not prepared for the screws, doing it by hand is not possible. It is easy to put together other than that. I ordered two of these tables for the hi-fi stereo components in my music studio. Both tables took about 45 minutes to assemble, but these days I am slow and meticulous about putting furniture together. I've bought a lot of "put together" furniture from Wayfair over the years. In order to make things go a bit faster and save my fingers and hands, a few years back I invested in a hex bit set from one of the big box home improvement stores. Once everything is lined up and the screws/bolts are started and all the parts are loosely in place, I tighten them up with my drill driver with the torque setting on a low setting like 2 or 3. The tables look okay, although the seem to have a bit of an industrial quality to them. They are functional, but not very pretty. They work for me and you can see in the photos I've included. The reason I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars is the packaging. Everything seems to fall out as you pull out the large pieces. I’ve been searching for a table for over 6 months now and when I saw this one I knew it was everything I wanted in a table. And it didn’t disappoint! It’s petite which is what I need for my space and it’s very stylish! There is a 1 18” bevel detail around the perimeter of the top and the legs and feet are very mid-century. It’s all metal so in addition to being easy to keep clean it’ll be stain resistant and it looks so sleek. My current kitchen table is buried under seedlings for my garden so until I can get them planted the table is in the room where my grands stay when they come to visit.
