It took me four hours by myself to put together but the instructions were ok and all the hardware was there. Construction of the wood parts was good. It's very solid and I love having the trundle option under the bed. Just remember that you need a thinner mattress for the trundle pull out than for the top bed. This is a wonderful trundle. Assembly took a while only because it was two boxes worth of parts. The desk is optional and does not affect the structural integrity of the bed, which was perfect since where I have it the desk wasn't going to be an option. The top guard rail can also be easily removed, if needed. Be sure to make sure your mattress is about 6 inches for the trundle or else it won't slide completely in.. Anonymous. Mon Aug 03 2026
