This purchase began with issues. I received the shelf, but the enclosed parts were incorrect. I contacted the manufacturer listed on the assembly instructions and also contacted Wayfair online. I was unable to complete the Wayfair form due to issues with the form, I think, so I continued emailing back and forth with the manufacturer. After several days of back and forth messages and photo uploads, I was told that the missing part would be sent from overseas. It arrived earlier than expected and I was able to complete the assembly. The unit was fairly easy to assemble, and it took about 2 hours. My granddaughter loves it, and it meets my expectations.. It was easy to assemble but it was time consuming. I would just suggest not to tighten the screws too much before you add the base leave the screws little loose and then you can always go back and tighten them.
