The Bertoia display pedestals creates the perfect stage for a special presentation of art or memorabilia. The simple straight lines were broken only with a small space taken out to show the balance between negative and positive.

This is not black or real wood as it appears in the photos. The grooved section is made of a different plastic material, which makes the overall look feel quite different from what is pictured. I was a little nervous based on some of the comments. It is much nicer than expected. It seems very sturdy and stable. Assembly wasn't difficult, but also wasn't a snap. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
