I ordered blue, but the string color looked more translucent gray than blue. Im not too picky about this color, so it was fine with me. I was hoping that the string lights would gradually change color like a mood light, but unfortunately it doesnt do that. It changes color in the blink of an eye. I do like that there are many options for colors, even seasonal ones. Theres a couple that show all the colors as well. You do have to choose a color from the top half of the remote for it to show with the light settings on the 8 bottom buttons. I got the multi-colored lights, and they're so gorgeous! Takes me back to my childhood. They're fragile, so you have to be careful, and they're somewhat hot, so it's important to put them where they won't risk fire. That's why people don't use this kind anymore, isn't it. I broke one of the bulbs accidentally just by letting it touch the floor a little too easily - luckily it didn't make the whole strand worthless, I just moved it so the empty was closer to the plug. The warmth and festive feeling of them is undeniably better than anything else. I hung them on cup hooks from the ceiling two inches from the wall and they look fantastic without touching anything.
