I didn't really think about the placement of the cord, but it is kind of in a weird spot and will make moving the table around the couch (end vs middle vs other side of the L, etc.) a bit difficult, as we got this to save space because we have an ottoman, not a coffee table. Measurements were exactly as advertised which was important because I was pairing it with two ottomans to use as a coffee table. Though not Wayfair's fault, the Fed Ex delivery was out of whack as they just dropped it off at a random location on the other side of my community.
