This chair is very comfortable and a delight. Assembly really requires prior experience with schematics and understanding basic aspects of hardware. However, as the pics show, the upper/seat section is out of alignment with the lower/base portion; it's pushed to one side. That results in the upper frame knocking against the rear black glide "dog bone" part. I don't understand what would cause this skewing. I kept all fasteners not-tight until everything was assembled. The packaging held up well in transit, and right out of the box, not a single piece was damaged, bent, or scratched. That is always a gamble when ordering furniture online, so starting off with perfectly pristine parts was a huge win. Furthermore, every single piece of hardware was included—no running out to the hardware store because they shorted you a bolt or a washer. The Assembly Process -It took me right around 45 minutes from start to finish to put both chairs together. **Pro-tip:** grab your own drill and a socket set. Using real tools instead of the flimsy wrenches they include makes the entire process infinitely smoother and faster. The only minor critique I have is regarding the instruction manual. Calling it "vague" would be an understatement. The manual essentially boils down to four hilariously brief steps: Put the top together. Put the bottom on the top. Install the top to the base. You're done. Thankfully, the design is incredibly intuitive. Even with the aggressively unhelpful instructions, it is pretty obvious how the components are supposed to fit together. If you have any basic mechanical common sense, you won't have an issue. Once fully assembled, the final result is exactly what you want. These chairs feel incredibly sturdy—there is no wobbling, creaking, or feeling like they are going to fold under you. More importantly, they are genuinely comfortable to sit in for long periods.
