Just got my fountain today. It came faster than I thought it would come. The craftmanship of the fairy and the color of all of it far exceeds the picture. Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. I like the sculptural presentation and ease if set up. I purchased this model for placement near my bird feeders to provide water and bathing options for the birds. It replaces a bird bath that gets too hot and stagnant during summer months. I like the large basin. It’s rained every day since set up so I haven’t had a chance to find out if the water will remain cool enough to entice the birds. I painted the basin white to help keep the water from getting too hot. I’m not pleased that maintaining the pumpcleaning requires removing the sculpture top to access the internal tank but other than this minor issue I love it.
