We absolutely love this little buttered dish. The pattern is cute and looks Italian and we love that it comes with the little decorated butter knife as well. This is large enough that you can put the bigger blocks of butter in it instead of just small butter sticks. I debated between giving it four versus five stars only because of the price seeming a little bit high, but it is very well-made and attractive and it is so handy to have a butter dish like this so we’re very happy with our purchase. Was looking for a cool mis-matched abstract style salt & pepper mill, so I was thrilled to stumble across this pair of misfits. They are a nice large size, look exactly as pictured, and so far work great. Yes, they do leave debris behind where they sit, but that's been the nature of every mill I've ever owned, so not an issue for me. My only complaint so far is that I haven't found a way to adjust the pepper grind size, so it comes out a bit chunky. I shopped around at every kitchen store imaginable and hated the selections. I’m happy I didn’t settle until I found these. The paint is just as pictured and looks elegant without being too formal or too farmhouse (yuck). I love the wide base so they don’t tip over, and the holes are different for salt and pepper. I imagine they will be quite durable even with little kids using them. The plug for refilling is rubber and I think that will last with care.
