When it states to not tighten, that is because you will have to adjust in certain areas to make sure it sits correctly before tightening. It' sturdy. I researched for months to replace my old patio furniture I read all reviews on this. I love that the cushions Velcro on the bottom and the in the Bach. Also the cushions so far are comfortable I was hoping for thicker cushions. My friend and I put it together in about a day. I’ve put the other many Wayfair thing so it wasn’t that bad at all.
