These are great! They keep the room really dark! Our last curtains were blackout as well, but because of the style they didn’t hug the wall and a lot of light still got in. These are perfect for my LR windows. I ordered four panels. I needed something to block out the sun in the summer and cold now. I close the blinds but wanted additional blocking. I partially closed on panel for you to see the amount of light blocking/privacy. They have a rubber like backside. I put them in the dryer to remove the fold wrinkles before hanging. The slightly off white color blends beautifully with my light grey walls, old 2" blinds, and old white trim paint. For only fifty bucks, I couldn't go wrong! I am ecstatic over these Amherst pintuck curtains. I have been looking for curtains to match my comforter and pillow set for a very long time and finally found them. I chose the aqua, cream, gray and they are absolutely gorgeous. The material has a very faint sheen, are made very well, and will last a long time. The curtains have a white linen back so they will aid in keeping it warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. What I love the most is the top of the curtains. I have always had the pocket rod but with the way my curtain rods are, the curtais never went to the end of the rod which was a look that made me cringe. These curtains have slats that slide through the rod and can be adjusted to the end of the rod which provides a more cohesive look.
