Really nice bed…very sturdy once it was completed…the instructions could be a little clearer for putting the slats on the trundle and storage rack, but otherwise really easy to set up. This bed took 6 or 7 days to come in, when it was delivered some pieces of the cardboard were broken, but it didn’t really change anything. There are a few scratches on the bed, honestly I can’t do anything about it so it’s useless worrying about it.me and my sisters built this bed in the span of 10 hours. We were stuck of a few parts which is normal I guess, overall it was simple looking back at it. It’s very sturdy and strong, we got full over fully, only reason why I’m giving it a 4 out of 5 stars is simply because of the delivery and a few scratches on the bed, that’s only fair. Everything else is great. Beds very sturdy like I said, and walnut is a gorgeous color! I selpent some time looking for the perfect bunk for me and my lil sis. Looks great, feels great, and it was fairly easy to put together. The instructions may not be the best for someone that’s not really handy. It took me about 6 hours to include bringing in the boxes, opening them all and tearing them all down, tying up the boxes. and then assembling the bed. Excellent quality, super sturdy and very easy to assemble!!! My boys ages 11 and 9 helped me (their mom) build it in just a few hours! It’s sturdy enough that I am able to lay in the top bunk with my 11yr old and it holds up great, my husband is 300lb and lays on the bottom bunk with our 9yr old with no issues! Very solid! And we love the pull out trundle twin size bed for when they have their cousins or friends over! We currently have our nugget play couch on the trundle rather than a mattress, but will be getting a mattress for it. The only complaint I have is that it came with absolutely no extra hardware incase a piece is broken or gets lost during set up, not a single extra bolt, screw or wooden dowel, but otherwise we are very happy with this purchase!!. I would give this bunk bed with trundle a 4.5 star rating. It seems sturdy enough for my kids, and I like that the top bed has high railings on both sides. (I bought 8” mattresses, and on the top, there is still another 5.25” to the top of the railing.) It took some time for my husband and I to set up, but that was to be expected. The draw backs are that there was some cosmetic damage with the paint, but not enough to send it back. Also, Wayfair states that the trundle can have a 9” mattress for the trundle. I bought an 8”, but it is still a very tight fit. I am sending back the 8” mattress and am getting a 6” so that there is some room for covers to be pushed in with the mattress.
