Perfect for what it is. It's not exactly the size I wanted but it's beautiful it holds a ton of stuff I have everything in there from books to Christmas decorations to cords from every electronic thing I own, whole shelf of liquor bottles a whole shelf of wine glasses. I wanted something to go underneath a gallery wall of sculptures. I wanted something vintage couldn't find something sleek and simple. Somehow I stumbled across this and it's a beautiful acorn warm color golden brown not muddy it is all wood except for of course the back which is against the wall and I couldn't care less what it is. It's a very heavy piece so a solid back would have made it even worse. The drawers are on rails and easy to open and shut. The sliding panels are very very slidey! Maybe a bit too slidey actually! My husband put it together but I could have if I were a little taller and stronger. Follow the instructions, be methodical lay out all the pieces carefully before beginning and it's not really that difficult I think he did it in about 90 minutes maybe tops. It's attractive it's sleek it saves us 5 in over the bulky thing that we had there before depth wise, the drawers are just seemingly bottomless but then I was used to it 2 inch deep drawer on an old buffet. The 42 inch height turned out to be kind of perfect because I can still put my tall lamp on there underneath my sculptures. So I'm very pleased to, another Wayfair win! Arrived in 3 days I think after ordering, very well packed not a scratch on it not a dent not a scuff. I don't know what kind of wood rubber wood is but I've had other pieces made out of rubber wood that lasted for 35 years without a mark on them. It is filled and sturdy and easy to access and still low enough that you can set some keys on it or the candy dish or whatever. Really love it! Still got a bunch of junk around it and on it I'm still in rearranging mode from the old piece of furniture. This this is in a short sort of haul/turn from our long living room into the nook where our bedroom door opens. So we traverse this little area millions of times a day with laundry baskets and whatever we're leaving the bedroom with or taking in. Now we have 5 in more room. I am OBSESSED! We purchased two for under our television and they are gorgeous! Note they scratch easily but nothing you can’t fix with a sharpie. They are a pain to build the instructions are a little confusing- just make sure you know which direction will be the front and back of the unit before you assemble; we had to rebuild one of ours. The doors were pretty annoying to get aligned but I don’t think that is unique to this product. One of the six doors does not function with the push to close so we have to push back the lever manually when we want to close it but the door itself works. This sideboard is great quality! The colors are great exactly what I was looking for. The amount of storage is abundant and the right cabinet has an adjustable shelf to allow flexibility. I hit a snafu when building this. Instructions were very easy to follow and all parts were labeled well. When I got to step 11 the page was blank along with the next page. I didn’t have instructions for steps 11-14. I called and they responded quickly but did not have a pdf they could send me. Since I had all the parts laying around my family room I decided to start from the back of the instructions and group the pieces together so I could narrow down what pieces were from the missing steps. I was able to figure out where they went and continued to complete the building process. I absolutely love the look and how sturdy it is. I am so impressed by this piece. I will not lie and tell you that I was excited when I saw how many pieces there were to put together. I almost paid for the installation after it sat in the box for a few days. However, if you pull everything out and lay the pieces out and in their sections it wasn’t bad at all. I broke the install down into a 2 day event so all in all it took me about 3 hours alone. The last door was a little tricky since you must adjust it a few times for it to close perfectly and be aligned correctly. Worth every tweak. I bought it for my office since they did not provide storage for items in our new location. I have had nothing but compliments on how my office looks like a serene spa. The doors are smooth close as well which is an additional bonus. Wayfair never adds the colors automatically when you are writing a review. This was perfect for me. Redecorating in Victorian gothic and this worked. Each piece and bag of parts were clearly labeled. I only used my power screwdriver to assemble. I did it by myself. The only frustrating part I ran into was aligning the top piece but with some non lady-like words and a few prayers after, it worked out. One thing that would have been a bit helpful is from one step to the next on the instruction graphics, is if the previous used parts were grayed out. Sometimes I had to stare for a minute to figure out what I did and what was new. The cabinet is sturdy. One thing to note is that it seems to pick up all the fingerprints. I took a gamble with purchasing this table. At the time of purchase, there were only 3 review. I was looking for a budget friendly upgrade with storage for my small dinning room. The assembly wasn’t too bad, but I feel that they could’ve had a better blueprint for the back on the console. I also had to improvise screwing in the screws, since there weren’t any predrilled holes. Also the doors aren’t as symmetrical as advertised.
