Couch is extremely well made…all fabric seams are straight and frame is solid. It is firm for seating but not unforgiving or uncomfortable..I feel it will hold up well. Fabric is a blue gray pillow ticking and high quality. I sprayed with Scotchgard but think spills would roll off anyway. Very simple to put together. Getting the covers on the cushions was a little tricky but after doing two I figured it out quickly.To get rid of the wrinkles others have mentioned,as you are zipping the covers reach inside and adjust the cushion.Try to make sure all corners are filled. Also I bought some strips of velcro to make sure the cushions stay in place. Oh make sure you have a person help with getting the back put in. It makes it a little easier. The assembly went well. The color is a darker gray, although it did say taupe. We’re keeping it for the fact that it’s still matches in our room. This chair replaced a loveseat that we didn’t need anymore. It accommodate a taller person with longer legs due to the dimensions of the cushion from knee to hip. it is a little lower to the ground than I anticipated, but it is doable. For the price, its a good couch. My husband was able to put it together himself, he said it was very tedious though.
