Well after reading other reviews I don’t agree that you can’t hear the water. I do think after getting it that it’s overpriced by 50.00. It’s made in China not the US. This arrived yesterday. It came direct from the manufacturer in a large heavy duty cardboard box with an incredible amount of heavy paper packing material. The fountain is the large model and is exactly as described dimensions wise. Was easy to assemble although I had a nozzle type piece with no idea what to do with. Anyhow it works just like the picture with about a 2-3” high flow with the pump on high. The pump is very quiet and the water flow makes minimal noise. The pump has a swing vane on the inlet to control flow. The power cord is about 14 feet long. I bought it to attract hummingbirds but no luck yet. Very happy with this fountain and recommend it.. Cute fountain, a bit shorter than I realized. Had some blemishes in the glazing where it looks like someone applied a different material to fix it? The instructions didn’t include a great diagram of the part labeled “leak protector” so I had to find an online instruction manual for a similar fountain from the same company, which used the same part. The pump was a bit unwieldy to position. So far it’s a pleasant sound of water, no drips. Not sure if any birds will use it, I was hoping the sphere on top would attract hummingbirds to bathe. Works excellent! Built it with a solar pump kit (SKU: W120104564 sold by Wayfair) and fountain runs 24/7 and only turns off when water gets low and the pump safety valve turns it off so it doesn’t burn out the motor. When screwing the fountain pieces together let the pieces find their groove on the threads so the fountain stays level and is not lopsided once all together. If converting to solar you will need to pop out the rubber gasket that is in the middle of the bottom tier of the fountain. Split the rubber gasket at the seam and remove the electrical cord for the included pump and replace it with the cord for the solar pump. Use GE 100% Silicone sealant to fill any gaps/ spaces in the center of rubber gasket/ plug, reseal the seam with silicone and spread silicone around the outer edge of the plug/ gasket and put it back in the base, let set for 24 hours before adding water. Love this! I bought 3 to place side by side on a ledge. The videos were helpful for set up. The directions in the box were a little tricky, though.
