Extremely easy to assemble. These barstools are nice and heavy and high quality materials. The height is also tall enough to sit in carefully without having any problems. My 92 year old mom can sit in these barstools very easily. Makes my apartment look like a real beautiful place to live. Everyone that comes to see my apartment wants them. The stool bases are pretty heavy and feel sturdy. The packaging was horrible but they don't look to be damaged. We haven't assembled these yet so I can't speak to the ease of that. They're definitely the exact style and color I was looking for - a polished gold finish with a black seat cushion. They will match perfectly with our newly remodeled black/white/gold kitchen. Though this will be the last large item I purchase from Wayfair. The box they came in said they were white which leads me to believe it wasn't the original box, that the chairs were repackaged in a previously used box.
