This was initially going to be a 1 star review because when the bookcase arrived, every shelf and the bottom of the bookcase was damaged. I changed it to 4 stars because of how great the product support has been. I submitted the issue to wayfair and they put me in touch with the manufacturer, who offered to send a replacement if I sent the damaged one back. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning such a large item so I asked for a partial refund and they offered 25 back, which I felt like was fair. They also responded every time in a timely manner. So while the product did arrive damaged, customer service was excellent and this experience won’t deter me from ordering from wayfair again.. This bookcase was exactly what I hoped for. I ordered 3 and was a bit nervous because another reviewer advised against trying to put multiple cases next to one another because they were reportedly crooked. However, I took a chance and hired someone to assemble them for me and they look fantastic next to one another! The bookcases are heavy and made of sturdy material and add a touch of elegance to my living room. The cherry oak matches my other furniture perfectly. Highly recommend!. Tiffany. Seattle. A fully finished back panel adds versatile placement options, letting you position it against a wall or use it to divide your space. It also arrives ready to use right out of the box to save you time.

The color and style are perfect in our bedroom, however the first try arrived damaged and trying to re-box it in the original cut-apart, damaged box was not fun. The replacement arrived about a month after the initial, damaged shelf and is in good shape. This is the second time we have ordered a wood product that arrived damaged. I like the final result this time though. Last time the replacement console table was worse than the first one!. Ruth. Franklin, TN. Sat Sep 19 2026

I was looking for a simple, sturdy bookcase because I have a lot of books and some small decorations I wanted to display. I already had a bookcase, but the color did not match my furniture, and it didn’t fit the overall design I wanted for my living room. This one was a much better choice. First, be prepared: it comes in a BIG, HEAVY box! If you live on a second floor as I do, I highly recommend asking Wayfair beforehand if room-of-choice delivery is available. I carried the box upstairs by myself, and believe me, I paid for it afterward! So definitely consider getting some help with that part. The bookcase itself is fairly easy to assemble. The instructions recommend two people, but I assembled it by myself. If you have enough space and can use a bench or another sturdy surface for support, you may be able to do it without a second person. The assembly guide is good, although it could be improved. I think it would be much easier if all the hardware pieces were clearly labeled, so you can identify the right piece immediately whenever the instructions tell you to use it. Another thing to keep in mind is that mine did not come with the tools needed for assembly. Thankfully, I already had the necessary tools at home. It took me about four hours to put everything together, but I actually enjoyed the project and kept myself entertained while assembling it. One detail I did not like was the small stickers included to cover the holes. They aren't very well designed, and when you try to peel them off the sheet, they can easily get messy, bend, or get damaged. I think the manufacturer could definitely improve the quality of these dots. Overall, the bookcase is simple, sturdy, and gives me plenty of space for my books and decorations. Most importantly, the color and style work much better with the rest of my furniture and the look I wanted for the room.. Aliuscha. Hialeah, FL. Sun Oct 04 2026

Bookcases aren't just for holding, well, books. Though they make ideal homes for your paperbacks, they're also perfect for staging framed family photos, keeping baskets filled with accessories, and putting your potted plants on display. Take this one for example: Crafted from solid oak wood, it boasts a neutral woodgrain finish for a touch of traditional style and includes four fixed wood shelves behind glass panel doors.

This hutch bookshelf is sturdy, which is what I was looking for. I needed a small bookshelf that I could display items on that I sale. This was perfect. I was able to assemble it easily, the directions were easy to follow.. Megan. Booneville, KY. Wed Sep 09 2026

Mission Double Door Bookcase With Side Shelves - Michael's Cherry (MC1)---offers one of the best qualities you can find on a bookcase, such as its sturdiness, appearance or look, and its usefulness to the owner. Our Mission / Arts & Crafts style furniture is made with attention to detail and expertise like that of 100 year old Stickley. This is made of solid white oak with a medium-light brown stain. It has 2 Doors with glass panels and adjustable shelves behind glass doors. There are fixed shelves on the sides, and this works well as a bookcase curio or china cabinet.

My only criticism of this bookcase is that the right two wood panels that hide the bottom shelf on the bottom (instead of glass) are not the same color as those on the left; they are a much darker color wood, which is not what is pictured here and it looks mismatched.. Sherri. Oakland, CA. Mon Jul 27 2026

This bookcase brings easy organization and classic charm to your space. Crafted from solid wood, it offers open storage with three tiers of shelving for your favorite books, plants, and decorative accents. Vertical side slats keep items secure while adding an open, airy look. Its folding design allows for quick setup and convenient storage or portability whenever you decide to rearrange. Came beautifully packaged! No dings. The color is slightly more orangey than I wanted but I’m okay with that. I love that there is no assembly, and the wood is fairly good quality for the price. Just two negatives - I wish I could remove the nubs (that join the units together) on the top unit, and the company sticker on the unit was a bear to get off - I don’t know why companies put them on the unit like that! A least make them easier to remove. Took me 25 minutes with goo be gone to scrape it off. I left the bottom one on that can’t be seen bc I don’t feel like scraping another one off!. Lisa. US. Very durable with 70lb. weight capacity per shelf. 4 adjustable shelves allow you to customize the storage space to accommodate a variety of book sizes and 2 fixed shelves provide structural reinforcement. A dowel and cam-lock assembly design ensures a strong durable bookcase. Wood elements are sourced in the USA and assembled in Mexico. This versatile storage bookcase is ideal for home or office use, laundry, bedroom, kitchen, garage, or any other room. Ready for assembly.

The bookcase itself is very nice, but some holes didn't line up when putting it together. Also the top portion and the bottom portion do not line up flush across the front. They are offset from each other. I did not see anything explaining that the pegs that hold the shelves are made of plastic. I have bought other bookcases that use pegs to set the shelves onto, but they are metal.. Jane. Warren, OH. Sat Jun 27 2026
