I purchased these chairs to furnish a patio of a home I recently purchased. I like the style of the chairs, and they seem quite sturdy and durable from my short time with them. I think these chairs, for patio furniture, are comfortable to sit on for a decent length of time. Of course, if the chairs had cushioning, they would be more comfortable, but for me, a cushion would detract from the chair style and would not add a tremendous amount of comfort. Let’s just get this out of the way this chaircolor combo is pricey. The beauty of the wood and softness of the cushions tell you why. It’s definitely a solid piece of furniture. It is however on the bigger side, the back legs stick out, making it hard to place against a wall or put in a corner. I can image someone tripping over the back legs as well. The yellow color gives it a more contemporary look even as the chair looks more mid century. Some folks have even mistook it for patio furniture.
