I have an older set of bedroom furniture that is finished with that red oak stain that I do not really like. I wanted to update the room and wanted to do it with the bed linens, and this bedding works perfectly. What a great name for this bedding! It truly is a joy to see every time I enter the room. The colors are bright and exciting. The base color is a hot pink with a hint of purple that you see more of certain times of the day. I included a few pictures to show this. The bottom side is white, which I like because I prefer white sheets. The shams are great too- they’re not pictured because I use a larger duvet on a smaller bed so I’m having mine altered since they’re included by size. This is a beautiful comforter set. The comforter seems well made and it's a perfect medium weight. I got the blue/gray combo and the blue is a beautiful aqua color - just like it's shown in the picture (and just what I was hoping for). The seams on the shams are not very sturdy and I ripped one while inserting a standard size pillow. I also wish the shams were a mirror image, so each of openings faced the outside of the bed. I used the included pillow cases to make pillow covers for 18x18 inserts. The color of the round pillow and the text on the lumbar pillow are more of a powder blue, so they don't really match.
