It has a cherry brown finish, it's well constructed. It will blend in with the other cherry furniture in my bedroom, where it will have a vintage Robert Tonner doll displayed on it. Contrary to what the product page states, this is NOT fully assembled but it is mostly assembled. The back piece is attached to the seat frame with 4 long bolts, and the front legs with 4 shorter bolts, Allen wrench and hardware included, and an assembly diagram. It's fairly easy. Made by Harriet Bee, a manufacturer known for children's furniture. The back and seat piece were well packed, with a box with the two front legs, and Styrofoam cushioning.
