It’s hard to tell from this picture but the egg shape is half wicker and half rope. That was a surprise but it doesn’t look that bad, it definitely makes the chair look cheaper but then again it’s more unique this way. I’m only 5 feet tall so I have to hop into it but it’s very comfortable and I added a couple of my own pillows. Eventually I will probably replace the cushion in this because although it’s comfortable, it’s a cheap material, like a rayon or polyester and it has a sheen that a cheap cushion tends to have. But, the canopy works to offer some Protection and that was the main reason why I got this and I do not regret my purchase. I would recommend this to my friends and I’m very happy with it!. Wendy.
