An impressively polished and sturdy pole that has some heft. We used it as a ballet barre for pointe shoe fittings in our business. I could not be happier with the finished product. We had to trim the bar ever so slightly with a miter saw, but with the right blade (non-ferrous), we had no problem. While not employed to hang clothes, it would fulfill that purpose easily. Keeps the stair runner rug in place. The hollow rods were surprisingly strong. They all matched very well, and the brackets that keep the rods in place look good and work well. This will make things so much easier when we want to take the washable runners off to clean them. We did put some material behind each rod to make doubly sure the runner would not shift over time. We also used longer, stronger screws to secure the brackets to the stairs. It only took one afternoon to do 15 stairs.
