It’s a beautiful light. It’s just about half the size I expected it to be. For 100 dollars I expected it to be larger. They do put the size dimensions, which is my fault, but I do think the photos they have advertising it looks about 8-10 inches wide in those photos. I submitted for a refund and it went to another screen asking if I would take a 20 percent refund or I’d like to proceed with the return and have to pay shipping so I just took the discount. For 80 dollars it’s a better deal and I won’t have the hassle of returning. Looks incredible in my home. It's no simple thing to find a modern piece thats classic enough to use in an old Victorian home, but this one really fit the bill, I'm really pleased with the look. That said, wiring aside, this thing took me longer than I care to admit to just affix the alabaster plate to the metal arm of the fixture. There's just so little available to thread into the bolt while trying to keep everything aligned. For as simple as the direction was, it was embarrassingly difficult to finesse in. I purchased multiple other sconces, but none had a large enough mounting canopy to hide the electrical work until I found this one. The electrician installed it extremely quickly with zero complications. The sizing is completely true to the online specifications, measuring exactly 12 inches, with the beautiful, soft scalloped glass center section coming in at 5 1/2 inches wide. It features a good, substantial weight that feels solid and high quality without being overly heavy. The finish is a gorgeous, soft brushed brass. I mounted it next to a raw, unlacquered brass pendant light; while the two brass styles feature slightly different undertones, they complement each other beautifully for a curated, mix-and-match look. To ground the space, I paired the sconces with a set of the Kalalou 65" Tall Black Metal Wall Shelves (also from Wayfair). The contrast of the delicate, soft vintage scalloped detail from the light fixture against the stark, dark metal of the shelves looks stunning. I also styled the sconce alongside a thrifted library armoire for a traditional touch to see which one I preferred.
