Ok, giving this 4.5 stars for aesthetic and solid wood frame. HOWEVER, please be cautioned There were some dings and splintering that are fortunately hidden after assembly with one acception. The assembly itself self took 2.5 hrs with a couple sanity breaks. Each spindled piece has an item sticker that would be visible and thus needed removal. I ruined my nails and spent 10x as long removing stickers and the glue as I did putting the head and footboard together. After FINALLY getting this bed put together, I almost cried contemplating the labor intensive deconstruction that would be required to take it out of the room. This project is not for the faint of heart. It is, indeed, a project. I would not deduct stars as paying for assembly is an option. Also, an oversight on my part, but the bedframe will not house a mattress and box spring, only a mattress. My biggest frustration was the assembly, and second the blemishes on the frame. Love the look of this bed. Took a chance bc there were no reviews. The bed delivered in about 5 days. The packing wasn’t the best, but everything was intact and undamaged inside the box. Quality is fair, not exceptional. Upholstery is only on the outside of the bed, not behind the headboard, footboard or rails. Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. I couldn't be happier with this bed! The 3D chevron headboard is absolutely stunning and gives the room a high-end, custom look. The wood finish is beautiful, and the tapered legs add a nice mid-century modern touch that really elevates the overall design. One of the biggest surprises was how easy it was to assemble. The instructions were clear, all of the parts were well labeled, and everything fit together perfectly. We had it assembled much faster than expected with no frustrating steps or missing hardware. The platform design is also a huge bonus since there's no need for a box spring. Once assembled, the bed feels sturdy and well-built, and it doesn't squeak or shift. It looks much more expensive than it is and has become the focal point of our bedroom. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. That being said, if you look carefully at the diagrams, you should be fine. Bed assembly is pretty straightforward. It does have a slight varnish smell that has started to fade after 3 days.. A..
