I had an old canopy bed. I didn't want to use the foot board or side boards as it was in a small room. I used this bracket to attach the old claw type headboard to a simple metal frame. The frame seems pretty lightweight, but the person putting it together said it's sturdy. I ordered this for a guest bedroom, so it won't be getting daily use. The queen-sized frame will have five (5) legs with the included center bar. The center bar for this frame is used side-to-side for queen bedding. This means this frame is not recommended for use with a split (2 pieces) box spring. The legs will adjust the frame height from 5 3/4" to 9 1/4" off the floor. The steel in this frame is a high strength, high carbon, hot-rolled steel. It is rolled using 97% recycled material producing a very strong and environmentally-friendly product. The cushions are vacuum-compressed for packaging. Before installation, please firmly pat the cushions to help the silk cotton quickly expand and fill the entire cushion. It usually takes 2-3 days for cushions to fully plump up to optimal state.
