I have very poor lighting in my house and was thinking of installing recessed lighting, but then I found this, which is a much less expensive option. Update couldnt wait any longer. I asked a professional how to install thos light they told me exactly how to do and I did it. It was actually easy. The only hard part was holding my arms up to attach to the ceiling, and getting over the fear that im going to electrocute myself. I shook the fear off and I did it. It took me a little longer because I didnt have a ladder but if I did it would have been done in a flash. My daughter loves it. What I like about it is that it has several light options. You know when you have your light on but its just not bright enough or its to bright. This light fixes all of that with the different light settings. My daughter likes the color option the best. Great for all ages. 5 stars. my daughter really wants this light so I ordered it because I thought it was plug-in type . Its not its hardwire. I dont know anything about electrical installation so I was going to send it back and being that Wayfair has no problem with keeping there customers happy thats one of the main reasons I always shop there first I was given the opportunity to return. With easy instructions. However my son told his sister he will put it up for her when he gets back from deployment so I know this light has got to be 5 stars because shes waiting. Without exaggeration I have removed and replaced at least 100 light fixtures in my time and this has to be one of the easiest I ever have installed. The domed canopy cover on the fixture allows for it to be easily attached to the mounting strap on the outlet box so you dont have to struggle trying to tuck excess wire into the junction box. The fixture was easily installed in 5 minutes. My only problem was with the globe style shade. It does not fit over a standard size bulb. I knew that from reading the reviews and had purchased the bulb recommended by other reviewers. Unfortunately that didnt work either. I had to resort to a standard base candle type bulb. The fixture will only handle 40 w Max so do not depend on this fixture for more than ambient lighting. I still love the style and it works for me. I consider it a good value for the money.. Sandra.
