I absolutely love this chair. It was one of those purchases I hoped would look good online, but it’s even better in person. The green fabric has a beautiful texture with subtle variation throughout, and the warm wood frame gives it that timeless, mid-century look without feeling trendy. It immediately elevated the room and looks far more expensive than it actually is. The first thing I noticed was how substantial it feels. This isn’t one of those lightweight accent chairs that slides across the floor every time you sit down. It’s heavy, solid, and feels extremely well made. Once it’s in place, it stays put. The wood legs and frame are sturdy, and everything feels well constructed with no wobbling or creaking. Comfort was another pleasant surprise. Accent chairs often sacrifice comfort for style, but this one manages to deliver both. The seat cushion is supportive without being overly firm, the back provides great support, and the angled arms are comfortable whether you’re reading, visiting with friends, or just relaxing for a while. I’ve found myself choosing this chair over the couch more than once. Delivery did take longer than expected, so if you’re ordering it, plan to be patient. That said, it was worth the wait. White glove delivery and placement were included, which made the experience so much easier. I didn’t have to wrestle with a heavy box or figure out assembly on my own. They brought it inside, placed it exactly where I wanted it, and that alone was a huge bonus. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. The chair itself I like, it’s sturdy and make of heavy real wood. The chair is pretty comfortable though the quality of the cushions I don’t believe would hold up to long term use. This is in our basement so I think it will be fine for here and there. Why 4 stars The assembly was terrible. The instructions were not clear. They need to provide different Allen wrench, lucky got me my husband had a tool that helped or I was so frustrated. So get yourself the auto retract took or this will take forever to assemble due to the way the holes are set. Also note there should be another step they combined two and it was confusing to the point I had to take part off and redo. It does sit lower for a living room chair too so note that. I was worried there were no reviews yet, but took a chance. I’ve been looking for a navy blue velvet arm chair that was a mid century modern style, had deep seat, but not too wide for our space (less than 36 inches). The chair is as pictured and also the specs are accurate. However, I should have realized the back is not as high as our old chair but I’ve improvised and added a pillow for me to rest my head. The legs also seem darker than in the pics. It is comfortable to sit in so far and I prefer a firm seat. The back pillow has a zipper so you can take it out to clean or you can change the insert padding and it is reversible. The seat cushion also has a zipper and is removable but you can’t use the other side because it has velcros. Love the deep navy blue color and the soft velvet.
