For being what I thought would be a simple chair to put together, it was a bit of a challenge. The instructions clearly state to put swivel base on top part first.. then attach to the base. There is NO way… so~ undoing that I attached the swivel base to the bottom (base) of the chair then proceeded to attempt to attach the top. I assumed the larger round holes in the base was to fit your handscrew through the base and into the top portion… good luck with that unless you have tiny child hands. After contorting my bodyhands somehow managed to get them all in and tight and the chair is great! It is a fuzzy material, but not itchy at all, and it’s perfect for small areas. Oh my goodness I love this chair!! It’s very low to the ground so keep that in mind for placement. I’m trying to create a cozy reading nook for my daughter and this chair is perfect! It’s surprisingly oversized and comfortable. The material is high quality and has various shades of light gray. The swivel is nice and smooth. Due to the size and mechanisms and weight it is very sketchy to bring up the stairs so bare that in mind as well. My favorite part is that the swivel base is covered with the same material as the chair which really just creates a beautiful, expensive, finished look. So much prefer that to a plain metal base.
