The item arrived well packaged and installation was relatively easy. The very last part of install was the light and there were two male connections instead of a male female, but just cut the end off and hardwired it not a big deal. A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on. UPDATE Fan is now installed on the ceiling. Looks very nice, but power is not yet hooked up to it so I have not yet been able to run it or turn the light on. The fan appears well made fan blades are actual real, solid wood and are very nice quality - no painted fake finish here. The surround that covers the motor is metal and nicely made. It fits flush against the ceiling. The fan also comes with a remote that controls both the fan and the LED light and you can change the color tone and brightness of the light. So I am looking forward to getting this light installed and will update my review then with new pictures and feedback on the fan operation. I think it’s going to look beautiful in my bedroom!. So far I love these fans. Ordered them together (2) so they would match rooms that are next to each other. The light is bright enough for large rooms, but can be dimmed, It has 6 speeds which is more than my last fans (only had 3), sturdy, so much lighter than my old ones and easy to put together (per hubby). The real wood blades are nice and very light weight. The wind speed works well for our living room and kitchen. Remote is easy to use and I like that there is a timer on the fan also of 1, 4 and 8 hours. There are 3 light settings so you can choose soft, day, and very bright (the bluish type) to fit your room needs. We like the soft one for the living room and the medium one for the kitchen. I am very impressed with this ceiling fan. It looks fantastic and the solid wood blades give it a really high-end, modern feel that has completely transformed the look of the room. The performance is exactly what I was hoping for. Thanks to the DC motor, it is incredibly quiet (no annoying hums or clicks) and it moves a lot of air even on the lower settings. It’s perfect for keeping the space cool and comfortable without the noise of a traditional fan. The integrated light is also great quality. It is very bright on the maximum setting, which is perfect for when you need a lot of light in the room. My only minor complaint is that I wish the light could dim just a little bit more for a softer, more ambient feel at night. Overall, it’s a well-made, beautiful fan that functions perfectly. We love our new ceiling fan. It was a bit challenging to put it on, took my husband and his dad 2 hours to put it on but they were by no means handy.
