So far so good. No complaints yet. Hefty piece of wood. Very poor packaging for a 600 dollar - literally arrived in a box with no inner padding so some of the outer edges are a bit beat up, hence the 4 stars. Very sturdy and well made. other reviews state that the leaf is sagging etc....well the hardware holding it up is pretty beefy, and there are instructions included for if you need to tightenlevel the leaf. also the other review stating the drawer and leaf should be on the same side...well thats not physically possible, they would get in the way of one another. they included a package of wood seasoning to get you started as well. This board weighs a ton so it is extremely good quality and does not slip and slide around on the countertop. It is constructed of a beautiful cherry wood and is designed to prevent dulling of knives. The thickness is great because its surface height does not strain the back while cutting or chopping.
