This farmhouse 6-cube bookshelf exceeded my expectations! It was incredibly easy to assemble, with clear instructions and a quick setup. Once it was together, I was impressed by how sturdy and well-built it feels. The brown cherry finish is absolutely beautiful and gives it a warm, high-end look. As you can probably tell from my photos, Im an eclectic maximalist. I love filling my home with lots of décor, artwork, books, vases, and unique finds, so I need furniture that can actually handle my decorating style. This bookshelf has surprisingly spacious cubbies that hold a lot without looking cluttered. It gives me plenty of room to display my favorite pieces while still keeping everything organized. I’ve been looking for storage options for a while, mostly for books but having the option for other things as well, and a dresser was too bulky while a book case was too narrow and tall. This is perfect. It’s well made and looks great. The back is pressed board with a wood laminate and there is definitely an order to install the back panels. There are no pre-drilled holes for the back panels, and while I did it through sheer willpower and determination, a power screwdriver would be helpful. We are using this as shoe storage in our master closet - it fits nicely under the area with a top hanging clothes rack - we have built ins but needed a little more shoe storage- I like the sturdiness of the real wood and the ability to adjust each shelf height - it really matches our built ins and gives us some extra storage without the costs of of having more custom build ins made- assembly was involved but came with everything we needed except the tools and were easy to follow.
