I am very happy with the look and quality at this price point. I was struggling to find something to for my narrow space in this room. They do feel more expensive than the other similar items in this price range. A few things to note, I don’t love the slight seam to the backing but it’s is hardly noticeable when decorated. Another thing to note is there are stickers to cover the screws etc. not my favorite but at this price point it’s not bad, and at least you don’t look at the screws like some other affordable pieces. Well to be perfectly honest, the delivery team was fantastic! They arrived as they indicated, they were, friendly, courteous, and ever so efficient. The bookcase arrived early enough to have placed all necessary items on the shelves long before the noon hour. However, once the packaging was removed, the bookcase put in its proper place the matter of how to remove the wood wedges (placed on the left and right sides) holding the shelves in place became the major obstacle of frustration. It's like getting in your car to take a drive, you open the door, take a seat, put the key in the ignition, turn the key or push the button and nothing happens, looking at the gas gauge, you realize you have no gas. Went online to your website, located the item page, found there were instructions on how to remove the wedges. It’s like being stranded in the desert with no water and no camel. I only deed the 2 shelf bookcase. It was fairly easy to put together. The instructions were clear. I was able to put it together by myself in about an hour. It looks nice. The only thing I don’t like about it is that it is particle board with a sort of paper veneer, almost like Contac paper. I purchased the 3-shelf size, 36" H X 48" wide. It holds my entire cookbook collection and does double duty as a divider between the foyer and kitchen/dining area. Beautiful, heavy wood in the mission style. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the backing. I wish furniture manufacturers would stop to consider that not every piece of furniture is going to be put against a wall, so it would be nice to have a decent backing. The back of this bookcase is some sort of shiny, vinyl covered panel and the color is awful. Maybe it was meant to be faux marble, but they missed by a mile. I really like this bookcase. If fits perfectly in the space I had for it in my office. It’s very well made and heavy duty. I’ve never had anything made out of rubber wood before when I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. It has a very prominent grain similar to oak. Overall happy with bookcase as it serves it's purpose. Nice and heavy but there in lies a problem as it ships in 1 package. Packaging looked very rough and delivered with a corner damaged. FedEx driver warned me it was unusually heavy and helped me carry it into house. Luckily you can't see the damage as it's on bottom unless you're looking for it. Nitpicking wise the top trim piece does not line up flush and isn't adjustable as guide piece is glued on so it sits a little crooked on top. Again overall happy with product, would buy again..
