We are enjoying our bookcase. The light color fits in just fine with the other colors of bookcases. It was pretty easy to put together. This bookcase is proudly constructed in the USA from a combination of solid oak face frames, oak veneer plywood shelves, side tops and bottoms, and thick plywood backing. You can be sure this bookcase will last you throughout the years. No particle board can be found in this. As in most of our products, they ship fully assembled.

Sturdy. Nice design. Finish is not bad. Construction is square and true. A couple of issues: side vertical wood slats not sanded on all sides. In general, the level of finish is a bit rustic, to use a generous term. The hardware -- hinges, door latches -- is not of the quality that I'd expect for this price. I got two of these and they are perfect. My father made some kind of extended anti-tipping wall anchors since I wanted the shelves on a wall with a baseboard heater so they were a bit far from the wall for the anchors they come with. I included photos. Please ignore my empty photo frames. I needed to stage the shelves so I'll know exactly how it all fits. The shelves are a beautiful color and exactly what I was looking for. the bookcase is great. the color is slightly off from the pictures but i expected that based on reviews and it matches my other furniture as a result. maybe have more ergonomic philips head screwdriver ready because the one it comes with hurt my palm quite a bit. only complaint is the mechanism to keep the bookshelf from tilting was confusing. im just going to get a different earthquake strap.. Well, this is exactly what I wanted. I'm very disappointed in the woodgrain "look", and the fact that some of it was peeling off the particle board as I was trying to put it together. Also, the directions are extremely poor! They don't show front/back, or any of that. IT was very confusing and difficult to put together. It has "a b c d e f g", et cetera on all of the pieces listed in the catalog, but the only things that were marked on the items to put together was a and b. Very disappointing!
